Supporting Families, Inspiring Futures!
At Parent Teen Rise, our mission is to bridge the gap between parents and their teens/children. We focus on building a solid foundation through effective communication, mutual respect, and understanding. Our approach explores the expectations and needs of both parents and children, guiding families through times of crisis and facilitating positive change within the family unit.
Welcome!!!! My name is Yesenia Santiago, I would like to share with you about me and my dedication to the work I do. I would like to begin by sharing I am a versatile, dedicated, bilingual social service professional with 30+ years of solid clinical and administrative acumen. I earned my M.S. Counseling & Human Systems at Florida State University. I pride myself in being a committed team player and resourceful leader with proven ability to motivate and generate results through hands-on management, a sound knowledge base, and a natural ability to inspire and teach those I serve. My experience includes but is not limited to- Clinical Director/Trainer for a Suicide Hotline, Advocate and Children’s Counselor at residential DV facility, Prevention Educator for National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Mental Health Clinician III, Program Supervisor for Children’s Home Society, and Welfare Transition Quality Assurance Specialist/Team Coordinator/ Career Counselor and my most rewarding and current position of INTENSIVE PARENT COACH. That being said I am eager to share my passion for facilitating change and creating hope for families in crisis while improving the quality of life for the child and the family as whole.
I would also love to share I am a contracted partner with the Seminole County Sherrif Dept. where I co-facilitate the PARENT-TEEN RISE Program servicing Teens and Parents who are involved with the legal system due to a DV incident. The goal of this program is to enlighten, encourage, and empower both parent and the young adults (TEEN) towards an understanding of one another to include thoughts, feelings, and aspirations (goals). As part of my partnership with the SCSO I am also the facilitator of the REFLECTION group. This group works using the concept that, without reflection, there will be no change. In doing so the participant is encouraged to initiate a change in retrospective thinking, therefore producing positive thoughts and actions. The goal of this group is geared towards the need for participants to increase their understanding of self-esteem, a balance in power dynamic, self-control, self/emotional regulation, understanding of self and others (intentions), exploration of actions/reactions and lastly the importance of recognizing responsibility and accountability as it relates to consequences and decision making.
Look forward to hearing from you, feel free and call or email.
